-Not Choosing your own,which food product was the most interesting/sellable? Why?

I think the cute cupcake by Tom, Sam, and Subin was the most interesting and sellable. ((its not biasing, its my personal and an honest opinion )) I think like that because the design is not only eye catching, the sweets are also made with detail. I really like how they actually carved out the rabbit-shaped chocolate. Plus, they had a cupcake with red frosting, and from scientific reasearch, red gives people appetite. So I though that was a good choice.

 

 

-Do you think that the visual of the food affects how we perceive the taste of it?

 By looking at food magazines and other food display, all the food look very stylish with matching colors. So i do think that the visual of the food affects how we perceive the taste of it. At least once, people would have heard the quote"good looking food taste good" and i think that is actually true. By the appearance of the food, it really looked tasty and appetising and the effort they did (craving the shape of the chocolate by hands) the buyers can actually feel and see the work on this.

 

 

-What food packaging do you find effective in the real world for making people wanting to buy it?

I find Tom, Sam, and Subin's packaging effective in the real world for making people want to buy it. I think like that because first, the package was really eye appealing comparing with the other group. The first group had a package like a treasure box but as a comsumer, i didn't really had any interest in the package. The second one was themed as a mindcraft, but i think for the people, who doesn't know anything about mindcraft, it only looks like a ordinary brown box with no apeals. The thrid group said their package was themed as a sheep but from a buyer's opinion, it only looked like an foil wrapped thing with cotton attatched to it and from it, i don't think its sellable. Also not only their package were eye appealing, the box was really original. Every sweets are in a box and people have already gone kinda tired of it. They have made the package that looked like a hat, and i think by that, not only they get to eat the delicious cake, they can also have fun playing with it.
