1.Saul Bass is 20th century’s best poster designer, Do you think his designs are old-fashion or time classic? Exlain your answer.

Saul Bass's poster designers are really simple yet stylish and he's now known as the 20th century's bes poster designer. However some people say his designs are old fashion and others say it's time classic. For me, his designs are leaning more to the time classic and not old fashion. I say its time classic because to compare to a old fashioned poster, this doesn't use that much color. Most old fashion poster tend to use bright colors or use fancy font. But for Saul's posters, he only uses to two color which highlights the title. Also old fashion poster have a huge detailed model drawn on it, but for saul, he only has a simple black outline of the character which already give people the idea of the story.

 

2.Saul Bass’s style is very simple and done by hand. Do you like his style or the Photoshop-made style? Exlain your answer.

Even by looking, i can tell that his style of art is very simple and for that, I like it very much. I like his style because comparing to other styles, his ones are not very crowded, it uses just the amount of space to show the title and the meaning. Also his style kind of reminds me of the intro of "monster inc", maybe because of the shape-like covers and title.
