Freya Jobbins Artist Moment

Her art is all about using old toys to create new things, why do you think she does this?
In an interview, Freya jobbins said “I am interested in generating a range of responses to existing cultural objects, which have been placed out of context. The irony of my plastic works is that I take a materiall that was created to be touched, and I make it untouchable as an artwork.” By seeing this interview, i can tell that she does this because she wanted to make something that was a touchable item into a nontouchable art. I think her idea is really creative, not only she can make art out of these things, she's also recycling them into good use.
Do you think using the same materials changes the idea or stay the same?
I think using the same materials stay the idea same because, if you look at all her art, it only show a portrait of someone but not a meaning. She's only using the same material to visualize something. Her idea was to simulate someone by making a sculpture out od old toys. Even if she used a different toy for her art, the idea that she thought before stays the same. As a result, i think using the same material stays the idea same
Draw a rectangle below and sketch a sculpture portrait you would do with a random material.
